Penza Region days in the RF Federation Council begin with extended meetings of relevant committees

Governor Ivan Belozertsev plans to participate in the events dedicated to the 80thanniversary of the Penza Region, which will be held in the upper chamber of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on 30 January 2019.

On 28January 2019, Lyubov Finogeyeva, Minister of Finance of the Penza Region, reported on the problems of balancing budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation (in the context of the Penza Region) at the extended meeting of the Committee on Budget and Financial Markets of the Federation Council of Russia.

Penza officials had the saturated agenda in the upper chamber of the Russian Parliament on 29January 2019.

Vladimir Stryuchkov, Minister of Health of the Penza Region, addressed the Committee on Social Policy on the topical issues of ensuring availability and quality of medical care in the region at the extended meeting.

At the meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Valery Bespalov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Penza Region, spoke on developing transport infrastructure in the Penza Region and providing access to high-quality mobile communications and the Internet.

Dmitry Semenov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Penza Region, raised the issue of securing sustainable reduction of condemned housing properties (in the context of the Penza Region) at the meeting of the Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policies, Local Self-Governance and Affairs of the North.

Nikolay Simonov, Chairman of the Government of the Penza Region, focused on the environmental improvements in the Penza Region and relevant issues of natural resource management, while meeting with the members of the Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management.

At the extended meeting of the Committee on Science, Education and Culture, Oleg Yagov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Penza Region, clarified the state and prospects for developing rural schools in the Penza region through creating new social and cultural space.

On 30 January 2019, the head of the region will take part in the meeting of the Federation Council within the framework of the “Hour of the RF constituent entity”. Ivan Belozertsev intends to report on the social and economic development of the Penza Region and to inform senators about the achieved results and business opportunities in the region.
